PERSONAL BIOGRAPHY:
Raised in Rochester,
New York. Started playing drums at 15 years old. Studied with Dave Cohen until moving to Los Angeles. Graduated with
honors from Musicians Institute,
Percussion Institute of Technology (PIT), in Los Angeles, California.
Studied with Steve
Houghton (Woody Herman's band, Paul Anka, Scott Henderson, Doc
Severinson, Gary Burton, Joe Henderson), Ralph Humphry (Drummer for Dancing with the Stars, Don
Ellis, Seals & Crofts, John Davidson, Abbey Lane, Paul Anka, Frank Zappa,
Al Jarreau, Wayne Shorter, and Manhattan Transfer), Joe Porcaro
(first call percussionist for film and TV, Father of Jeff Porcaro (Toto)), Dave Beyer (Melissa
Etheridge), and Casey Scheuerell (Gino Vanelli, Jon-Luc
Ponty). Relocated to New York and continued playing professionally in the Northeast.
Gained experience playing different styles such as Jazz, Latin, Reggae,
Funk, Fusion, Rock, Blues and R&B.
