2000 to 2003 - Senior Color Scientist, Munsell Color Science Laboratory, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY, USA

2003 to present - Senior Color Scientist, Pixim Inc.

I joined the Munsell Color Science Laboratory in September 1997 as a post-doctoral fellow. My research focused in a project involving multi-spectral image capture that is a natural extension of a part of my doctoral dissertation about facial pattern image reproduction based on colorimetry and either linear modeling or iterative non-linear techniques. The main challenge in my research was overcoming the limitations of low spatial resolution of current multi-spectral image acquisition by combining low-resolution multi-spectral images with high-resolution silver halide images. After studying the bibliographical references related to my research, defining the experimental system and methodology I started doing simulations to improve the spectral reconstruction based on a colorimetric trichromatic IBM digital camera combined with a set of absorption filters. I was a staff member as color scientist fromAugust 2000 to September 2003. In 2003 I moved to California and currently work for Pixim, Inc. at Mountain View, CA.
