John Kerekes, Ph.D.
Associate Professor

Welcome! I am an Associate Professor here in the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science where I perform research, work with students, and teach courses in the imaging science curriculum. I am associated with the Digital Imaging and Remote Sensing Laboratory (DIRS) and the Laboratory for Imaging Algorithms and Systems (LIAS).

My research interests include remote sensing, system modeling and analysis, pattern recognition, medical imaging, and image processing as evidenced by my publications. I have been enjoying a rewarding career and education, including involvement in a number of professional activities.

Outside of my professional life I enjoy spending time with my family as well as participating in several sports including golf, basketball, and cross-country skiing. I also enjoy playing the piano and listening to music of all kinds.

Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in the field of remote sensing (or my other areas of research) as a student or a potential collaborator.
