| Laboratory Services
The magnetic resonance laboratory offers the range of services listed below.
For information on any of these services or to discuss your requirements, please contact Dr. Hornak via
e-mail
or phone at 585 475-2904.
- Basic Research
Research directed at advancing our fundamental understanding of nature.
- Consulting
Expert and professional advice in the field of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR),
magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), electron spin resonance (ESR), and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR).
- Education
Short courses on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) offered at RIT or on site at your location.
Our MRI courses can be certified for CME credit.
- Feasibility Studies
We undertake small focused projects designed to determine the feasibility of an idea.
Successful feasibility studies usually result in sponsored projects.
- Liaison
If we can not personally assist you with your R&D problem, we will help you find a magnetic resonance expert that can.
If you are having difficulty communicating with this expert, we will serve as a liaison.
We will translate your requirements into magnetic resonance language, and the expert's comments into terms you can understand.
- Needs Assessment
A form of consulting designed to assess your needs related to a planned project.
- Spectral Analysis
We can provide one-dimensional and two-dimensional 300 MHz high resolution hydrogen and carbon-13 NMR spectra of your organic samples.
Spectra of other less routine nuclei are also available.
- Sponsored Projects
Larger projects spanning more than one year designed to answer questions or solve problems.
- System Design & Development
Our team of scientists and engineers design and develop prototype imaging and sampling systems using magnetic resonance.
