Processing the Images

• Three “classes” of object in each image

  • Ink 1 (original “underwriting”)
  • Ink 2 (later “overwriting”)
  • Paper

• Scale one image and subtract it from the other so that differences of the pixels of “Ink 2” and those of paper produce the same gray value.

• Task 1: make gray levels of Ink 2 match those of paper in processed image.
