Create Digital Image of Palimpsest

• Use a Digital Color Input Device:

  • Scan the print on a color scanner, or
  • Image the print with a digital camera, or
  • Image the print with a “Digital Microscope”
    • Intelplay® QX-3

• Scan at “fairly” high resolution (e.g., 300 dpi)

  • (we need “several” pixels across each text “stroke”)

• Select section of image with both colors of text

  • Not too large, e.g., 600 × 400 pixels

• Save as color image

  • e.g., “palimpsest.bmp”
