- 10th century AD: Archimedes’ writings were copied onto parchment and bound.
- 12th century AD: The book was disbound, the Archimedes text erased, the pages were separated, rotated 90°, and rebound. The “Euchologian” (a prayer book) was “overwritten” on the parchment.
