The Genesee Valley Canal crossed Ballantyne Road about 1/2 mile west of the Genesee River. Walk or cycle north on the Greenway for about 1/3 mile to reach the point where the Canal crossed Black Creek on a stone aqueduct. In later years, the railroad used the aqueduct as a bridge.
This is one of the "crown jewels" of the Genesee Valley Greenway. As can be seen from the pictures, the stability of the facing stones on the west side is questionable.
