Lumière
Jazz with a French accent

Lumière is a gypsy jazz group featuring Brian Williams, upright bass, Roy Berns, guitar, and Ed Marris on the accordion. Each of these three fine artists has been active in the Rochester music scene for decades playing folk, blues, swing rockabilly, Celtic, and jazz. During winter, 2003-2004, they started jamming together and have evolved into a wonderfully tight-knit unit. They play French swing in the Django Reinhardt tradition, musette waltz, a little bossa, and gypsy flavored jazz standards.
