To commemorate it's 100th birthday, the Rochester Museum and Science Center will be showcasing new NASA-related family programs with its Blast Off to Adventure event.

From July 20th through July 29th, people are invited to attend the celebratory exhibits and experience the Science Center's newest program, Planet Next.

Through the help of families from the Genesee Community Charter School and students from RIT, Planet Next gives people the chance to learn in a unique and exciting way.

"Everything we do here at the RMSC is extremely hands on. We also want to highlight some of the technology that RIT can bring to bear, so we've go things like Lego robots that can run across different Mars landscapes or you can build water rockets that you can launch outside, and play around with the amount of forests or build a parachute," said Calvin Uzelmeier, Director of Education at RMSC.

The Planet Next program is currently being supported and funded by a NASA grant.
