CIS PhD student Nima Pahlevan has been named the recipient of the 2012 BAE Systems Award for best student paper for: “Integrating Landsat-7 Imagery with Physics-based Models for Quantitative Mapping of Coastal Waters near River Discharges.”

The award consists of a certificate and a grant of $2,000. In addition, Nima's paper will be published in /Photogrammetric Engineering & Remote Sensing/ (PE&RS), the official journal of ASPRS.
