Impact of the CIS Corporate Partner Program

As members of the Corporate Partner Program, Partners can influence the direction of research and education of our undergraduate and graduate students so that they are optimally suited for entry into the business world after receiving their degree. The Center maintains a constant awareness of the needs of the imaging community through this Partnership, and the funds from the Program are used to maintain state of the art instrumentation for both research and instruction. The Job board provides a direct channel not only to our current students but to our alumni as well. Password controlled early access to students gives our Partners an early opportunity to attract the best and the brightest of our graduates to their companies. Finally, the financial support provided by the Program enables the Center to attract be best new faculty and graduate students through financial support and state of the art instrumentation. 

Examples of how the Partnership funds might be used include:

• New and upgraded or specialized laboratory equipment
  • Used in faculty research programs
  • Used as an educational tool for students to become familiar with state-of-the-art instrumentation
• Leveraging university, state, and federal funding
• Recruiting top faculty
• Special Center educational programs
• Minority recruitment
• Recruiting of top graduate students
• Graduate student scholarship support
• Travel funds for students
• Undergraduate student outreach
• High School intern program
