RIT gets patent in color science

Congratulations to CIS researchers Mitch Rosen and Noboru Ohta

Rochester Institute of Technology has been awarded a patent for technology that will allow cameras to image many spectra of light that are normally confusing to the human eye, which views light in three color channels: red, green and blue. A camera using the technology would figure out which channels of light are optimal to capture.

The technology was developed by Mitchell Rosen, assistant professor in RIT's Munsell Color Science Laboratory, and Noburu Ohta.
