Research Interests
My general interests are the investigation of physical and geophysical processes
and properties through analysis of remotely sensed data. In particular,
I am interested in the specialties of hyperspectral and multispectral image
analysis. Currently, we are applying hyperspectral imaging techniques
to the problem of hard target detection as well as
large area image search. We are also developing new image processing techniques based on techniques from
areas of mathematics such as graph theory and applied topology. I am
also involved in our efforts in active, LIDAR imaging techniques. In addition,
I am the Director of the Digital Imaging and Remote Sensing Laboratory (DIRS).
